Martin Schwaiger "Inventor"

I am Martin Schwaiger, born in Switzerland in 1974, and the inventor of the Supmaran.

"The catamaran made from two SUPs"

The idea has been with me for over 30 years; back then, I wanted to connect two surfboards to form a catamaran. It only really became tangible when inflatable stand-up paddle boards with drop-stitch technology emerged. Suddenly, the boards fit into a backpack, and a boat for the car became realistic.

With Schlosserei Portmann in Schüpfheim, I built the first steel tube construction. Since then, I have been developing it further every year. I spend a lot of time on the water myself, setting up, packing away, and constantly finding details that can be improved. This keeps the product close to practical use and up-to-date.

I also developed a sail that turns a motorboat with a sun canopy into a sailboat. The construction with two boards lies stably in the water and works just as well as a swimming island as it does for action-packed sailing trips. Submaran is designed to offer you a solution that makes you freer and happier on the water.

Gregor Schuster "Managing Director"

I am Gregor Schuster, born in Austria in 1974 and the CEO of SUPMARAN Boats GmbH in Baden near Vienna. All my life I have been busy using and developing sports equipment myself.

My journey began in the bicycle industry. From there I moved on to ski bikes, which I successfully designed, optimized, and marketed for over ten years. The next major milestone followed in 2020: the merger with Martin Schwaiger, when we jointly launched the SUPMARAN project.

Since this launch, I have been responsible for our global communication, marketing, shipping, legal matters, and everything else that comes up.

The great joy I derive from our product also accompanies me in my free time. I regularly take my family out on Austrian lakes to enjoy the freedom on the water myself. I am proud of what we have achieved so far, and I am very much looking forward to the future with SUPMARAN.

Bernhard Billmaier "Planning and Production"

My name is Bernhard Billmaier, born in Austria. I have a professional background in metal construction, and I have been self-employed in this profession for twenty years now. Among other things, I build boats in my factory in Weißbriach.

I am jointly responsible for the technical implementation and planning of the Supmaran boats. As I am a passionate fisherman, I can often be found on Lake Weißensee myself, where I feel very comfortable in nature and gather my ideas.
